The Game A and Game B buttons on Ball. In Ball, the game started at a later level when Game B was selected.

Game B is a setting found on most Game & Watch units, acting as a variant to Game A.

The use of it varies on the game; in most games, such as Mario's Cement Factory and Octopus, the game starts on a later levels, where the action is faster and generally more difficult. Exceptions, however, do exist. In Squish, Game B forces the player to touch aliens and eliminate them instead of avoiding walls. Judge, Boxing, Donkey Kong III and Donkey Kong Hockey feature two-player versions of Game A. Three games, Climber, Balloon Fight and Super Mario Bros., do not feature a Game B button.
