Flagman was among the many Game & Watch games released in the system's lifetime. A part of the Silver range, it is among the more difficult to find of units, due to limited production.
Flagman is a simple game, in which a character named Flagman will hold up a numbered flag with his hands or feet, and the player must press the button on the console that matches the number on the Flagman's flag. Sometimes, the Flagman will hold up two flags, then put one away. The flag that stays out the longest is the flag the player must choose.
Gameplay of Flagman
in its DSiWare incarnation.
- In Wario Land II, if the player completes the game to 100%, they will be rewarded with the ability to play Flagman.
- In WarioWare: Touched!, there is a microgame that allows the player to play Flagman for six seconds.
- In 2009, Flagman was released on DSiWare, much the same as the game traditionally played, but with improved graphics, and an image of the game's logo on the bottom screen. This game can also be purchased via the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
In Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mr. Game & Watch's up-tilt is where he waves the "1" flag above his head to deal damage to the opponent.
